Just a quick rinse and it's ready to eat. With so many varieties of apples, everyone's sure to have a favorite. I personally prefer the Honeycrisp apple which provides a refreshingly juicy and satisfying crunch with each and every bite. Although perfectly delicious raw, apples taste great baked into pies, cakes, or dipped in chocolate for a gourmet delicacy that everyone can enjoy. INGREDIENTS: DIRECTIONS: • 10 small Honeycrisp apples • 1/2 cup chopped almonds • 1/2 cup candy-coated chocolate • 15 oz. bittersweet chocolate bar [Paskesz rose of galilee bar works best] • 10 popsicle sticks or Wilton branch sticks 1. Insert popsicle or Wilton branch sticks into the cores of the apples at the stem. 2. Place the almonds and chocolates on separate plates. Set aside. 3. Place the chocolate bar into a glass bowl and set over a pan of simmering water. Stir frequently until melted. 4. Remove from the heat and dip apples into the melted chocolate, turning to coat completely. Dip or roll into candy coated chocolate or nuts, then place on a sheet of waxed paper. Repeat with remaining apples. 5. Allow apples to set at room temperature until firm, about 20 minutes before serving. 6. Store in the fridge in an airtight plastic container up to 3 days.
