78 COMMUNITY MAGAZINE MARCH MADNESS!! What an amazing month of athletic action for our SY Community teams! As the playoffs move forward, each of our teams is battling through each round in order to advance to the coveted championship game! Prior to the first round of the playoffs, we've seen some rigorous gameplay between our community teams: After intersession, Flatbush Varsity won a hard-earned game against Magen David (53-43). YDE Varsity further advanced their playoff seed as they came home with an astonishing triumph against community rival team, Shaare Torah (52-39). Flatbush Varsity ended their regular season with a stellar 10 Win-4 Loss record, earning a bye to the quarter-finals. YDE Varsity advanced to the quarter-finals with a victory over a tough Rambam team (60-50). Led by Morris Bassoul's 12- 4th quarter points, YDE outscored Rambam 24-16 in the quarter to give YDE a thrilling, hard-fought playoff win! As for the JV division, Magen David ended the season on a great note with a stunning 8 Win-2 Loss record, thus advancing to the quarter-finals.
