The Force has just one button to press to scroll through your stats. Holding down the button will start a stopwatch, which is a handy feature. That same button is also how you track your sleep at night; you start it when you hit the sheets, and stop it when you wake up. All your data is wirelessly synced to the cloud. The smartphone apps let you sync your Force throughout the day, without even having to think about it. Once your data is synced, you can dig in and see a graphical analysis of your activity patterns, either on Fitbit.com or through the Fitbit apps. The BioMan is able to track heart rate, respiration rate and skin temperature. That information can then be sent to a smartphone or other device wirelessly via Bluetooth. Embedded steel threads within the shirt provide the electrical conductivity that allows for vitals sensing. The Bioman shirt is different from other wearable monitors as the sensors are integrated into the garment so that the wearer doesn’t have to worry about misplacing it or forgetting to wear it. This technology has great potential for not only routine tracking of body vitals, but also to alert care centers in the event of unusual cardiovascular activity.
