For David Cohen, this was not the case. Growing up, he had always been the “perfect catch.” Many girls wanted to date him and everyone thought he would get mar- ried very quickly. Hashem had other plans, and David was left a single man until the age of 55. He tried every segulah possible and got every brachah under the sun. One day, his friend mentioned that he should give a donation to the Kollel Chatzot and through that zechut, he would Beezrat Hashem get married. Of course, being 55, David had his doubts, yet, told himself that this would be his last attempt in trying to get married. Hashem saw fit that David should get married at this time and within four weeks of his donation, David was engaged. He met his Kallah the day after his donation! HATZLACHA Although the Kollel Chatzot usually gets donations from people who have a specific request for yeshuah, this was not the case with B. Malah. She made a donation for general hatzlachah in life. We decided to call and find out if anything happened since her donation and she mentioned that she had bought a scratch off and won $504! She laughed, since she is one of those people who does not have luck with winning anything. We were very excited because our Kollel is known for it’s power of Tefillah, and that is why we KNOW that yeshuot really happen to people who donate. Hashem really listens to the tefilot of tzaddikkim, whom we have davening in our Kollel. As soon as we mentioned this incident to the Rosh Kollel, he said it was obvious that the money was won in the merit of B. Malah’s donation to the Kollel; the numerical value of Chatzot is 504, so there is no coincidence that the amount she won was $504! PARNASSAH Anyone who works in a law office knows how important paper- work is. One law office realized they were missing a contract, stating that the customer owed them $15,000. The company was going through difficult times, so this income meant every- thing to all those involved. A donation to the Kollel Chatzot was mentioned, and 15 minutes after the donation was discussed, the contract was found. In the end, the company received a total of $21,000 just from that one contract! Hashem is solely the One who makes miracles, but sometimes, we all know, we need extra tefilot, especially from holy tzaddikkim, which can make all the difference.
