Throughout the Brooklyn neighborhoods he represented, Simcha revamped business districts by planting trees, adding lighting and repairing sidewalks, making our community an attractive place to live, work and shop. He also brought millions of dollars to our community’s hesed organizations and helped secure property for a new state-of-the-art Hatzolah facility. In an area of particular pride for him, Simcha provided millions over the years to build new playgrounds and parks, refurbish our libraries, repair our roads and clean up graffiti-plagued commercial areas. “Nothing gives me more satisfaction than watching the children running around in the 18th Avenue Park, which I’m so proud to have funded,” he enthuses. “Incidentally,” he adds, “we’ve secured millions of dollars to expand the park further in the coming years with more play space including specialized equipment for handicapped children.” A Tradition of Values As a grandfather and father with children in yeshivot, Simcha knows firsthand about the struggle to make ends meet and is committed to lowering the cost of yeshiva tuition. Please vote for Simcha Felder for State Senate on Tuesday, November 6 th . I have known and admired Simcha Felder for more than 10 years. Simcha is a person of fine character, honesty and integrity. I have worked closely with him on many matters concerning our community and our city. He has always responded to our needs with care, concern and compassion. He is open minded, hard- working and always available to assist in any and all ways. In my eyes, Simcha was the ideal public servant when he served as a member of the City Council. He not only listened to the needs of his constituents, but he always did so with a smile. He understood his role and embraced it, serving the people in his district very well by providing them with superb leadership. Simcha has a proven record of accomplishment. His persistence, dedication and work ethic are traits that we can all depend upon. I know that he will take that same passion and commitment with him up to Albany as our State Senator and I look forward to working with him on issues that are important to the community and to all New Yorkers. Please make sure to go to the bottom of the ballot and vote for Simcha Felder. Sincerely, Ronnie Tawil HeSVan 5773 noVemBeR 2012 31
