The Shaare Torah Varsity team earned their post- season spot in high style, with the best record in the league at 8-0. Meanwhile, in the Junior Varsity division, Darche Eres (YDE) in their first season also slugged out a perfect record at 6-0. And, in what was perhaps a league first, YDE shortstop Jacob Franco turned an unassisted triple play against Ma- gen David (MDY) last month to get his team out of a bases-loaded, no-out jam. For their part, the MDY JV squad clinched their own playoff berth while the MDY varsity team’s fortunes will be determined by the playoff format.
