Community Chest In addition to the ability to search for more than 600,000 products, manufactured in nearly 8,000 plants in more than 90 countries around the world, the App also provides the most up-to- date kosher alerts and new product updates in conjunction with the OU website and Passover Guide, and allows users to easily ask a question or call the OU Kosher information hotline. Additionally, the OU Kosher Facebook and Twitter accounts plan to help prepare for the eight-day holiday by featuring Kosher for Passover products, recipes and articles to educate and engage fans and followers. Passover-related questions may be submitted and will be addressed via Facebook and Twitter. Harvey Blitz, Chair of the OU Kashrut Commission, said, “With the support of Rabbi Menachem Genack, OU Kosher Chief Executive Officer, and Rabbi Moshe Elefant, OU Kosher Chief Operating Officer, we extend our gratitude for their dedication and efforts towards the development of this App to Gary Magder, OU Digital Media Director and his team: Shelomo Dobkin, Joe Neuman, and Nadav Hartzshtark; to Dr. Sam Davidovics, OU Senior Information Officer and his team, most notably Sara Karasik; as well as to those from OU Kosher: Rabbi Moshe Zywica, Executive Rabbinic Coordinator and Rabbi Eli Eleff, Rabbinic Coordinator-Kosher Consumer Relations.” Olive Café, Taking Organic Eating to the Next Level Dining out need not come with a compromise, neither to health nor to the budget. At the new Olive Café, special emphasis is placed on natural and organic foods. All foods served at the Café are free from food chemicals, pesticides and hormones. Only the finest and freshest ingredients are used in preparing the wide range of dishes. Additionally, customers can enjoy a wide array of gluten free, sugar free, wheat free and spelt dishes from which they can choose to meet their specific dietary needs. Whatever the requirements of your diet, the foods will be prepared for your specific needs. Guests can choose from a delicious selection of wraps, fish, pasta, sushi, salads and deserts, as well as fresh juices. And surprisingly, the prices are extremely reasonable and competitive, in contrast to the ordinarily prohibitive cost of organic foods in today’s market. The Café has also opened a healing room featuring nutrition and health classes, under the expert guidance of Nina Shapir, who holds a degree in natural healing for over 15 years. Nina is also on-hand to answer nutrition-related questions, help plan meals and explain the special cooking methods when using healthful or allergy-free substitute ingredients. Olive Café offers an attractive, spacious dining area, making breakfast, lunch or dinner out a most pleasant and comfortable experience. The charming decor of natural stone and slate add to the relaxed yet elegant atmosphere. The room can comfortably accommodate 80-100 guests for simahot and parties with enough additional space for strollers and other paraphernalia. Under the strict supervision of the Vaad Hakashrus of Flatbush and conveniently located on East 2 nd Street and Avenue I, Olive Café is also a great location for any event. Can You Hear Me Now?
