The only rule of thumb when venturing out into the wild? Pick only one piece inspired by nature at a time. Pairing a leopard top with leopard shoes detracts from the boldness of each piece and ends up looking too matchey- matchey. Adding subtle touches to your outfit though, can work well, like a snakeskin belt and shoes, or tortoise framed glasses with a leopard top.
