R ABBI MeIR PogRoW, ShLITA— The FoundeR oF The MASTeR ToRAh PRogRAM that has won th e admiration of gedolei eretz Yisroel — will be”h open Yeshivas Ben Chamesh LaMikra in Brooklyn this fall. In brief, Rabbi Pogrow has developed an extensive curriculum and methodology based on the “Zilberman” Yeshivos in eretz Yiroel and elsewhere which have achieved incredible results by following the Mishna in Avos “Ben Chamesh Shanim LaMikra….” In these Yeshivos, young children of average intelligence absorb vast amounts of Torah while enjoying the process. Learning and retaining all of Tanach, Mishnayos and Talmud Bavli by the age of 18 is a realistic goal for many of our children. At meetings in February and March at Agudas Bais Binyomin, Rabbi Pogrow presented his vision for the Yeshiva which will afford our children the opportunity to learn and retain all of Tanach, Mishnayos and Talmud Bavli by the age of 18. our last meeting attracted a standing- room-only crowd of well over 200 people and generated an enthusiastic response. Many parents brought their children for interviews with Rabbi Pogrow. By popular demand the curriculum has now been expanded and we will be enrolling children for the entire spectrum from kindergarten through 6th grade. Children who will be four years old by this summer are candidates for Pre-1Awhere they will be learning Aleph Bais and Kriah. Students who join our yeshiva in the Kindergarten through second grade classes will be’h know all of Tanach and Shisha Sidrei Mishna by the time they finish 8th grade. Students beginning this year at the 3rd-4th grade level will be’h learn all of Chumash, neviim Rishonim and Shisha Sidrei Mishna. Students beginning at the 5th-6th grade level will b’eh know Chumash and all of Shisha Sidrei Mishna. our 8th grade graduates will have retention approaching 100 percent of everything learned throughout elementary school. our aim for high school is to learn and review all of Shas Bavli 40 times between 9th and 12th grade while reviewing all of Tanach and Mishna monthly. Rabbi Jonathan Rietti has created and will be supervising an innovative, integrated, serious and complete secular studies curriculum. Rabbis Pogrow and Rietti will again discuss their vision for the Yeshiva on April 9, 2008. They will present a comprehensive overview of the Limudei Kodesh and general curricula. Fathers and mothers with an interest in the Yeshiva are invited to attend the presentation.
