This past month we had an unusual number of patients that came in with large painful canker sores. Normally I would have recommended one of the canker sore gels or liquids that pro- tect or numb the canker sore. But these patients were really in pain. They needed relief NOW!!! At one of the recent courses I attended the speaker had recom- mended a new technique that he claimed “really works”. I ordered some to have in the office for such an opportunity. The results were amazing. The pain relief was immediate and the sores healed in 3 to 5 days rather than 10 days. After one treatment the results are described by many patients as a miracle. Some patients came in with sores and ulcers that made it impossible for them to sit through the hygiene visit. After a single 5 second treatment they completed their visit comfortably.
